Children & Family Activities

Play areas
Have fun in our woodland play areas which include:
Fort William & Fort George
Norman Conquest
Flying Fox
Play Towers
Wigwams
Tram Jane
The Golden Larch Pirate Ship
Swings, slides & climbing frames

Picnics & BBQ’s – Why not visit for a barbecue or picnic? We have several outdoor locations with a built in BBQ, some also have small log cabins in case of bad weather. These can be reserved in advance or you can book the Old Laundry Building, East or West Barn if you need a shelter or a base for your group.

You can also hold children’s parties and book a Ranger organised activity

Woodland & garden walks – we have a number of way-marked walks to suit all ages and levels of stamina. Dogs are always welcome on the estate but we request they be kept on a lead in the gardens & play areas and owners should clean up after them.

The gardens are fully accessible but care should be taken with wheelchairs & buggies in the Play areas and on the ‘Red Trail’. Unfortunately, due to its terrain, the ‘Yellow Trail’ is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.
